Pushing Compton Project

About Us

We are a registered 501 c3 nonprofit corporation that provides skateboarding events in the city of Compton and surrounding communities. We have been blessed to be able to work with some of the greatest in the game and build relationships to support our initiative in the past.

We started very small, from a backed event from a t-shirt business I started in Compton College to a soaring 500+ people at one of Easter events. We understand there is a need for resources, mental health awareness, activities to keep the youth occupied, and transparent leadership. We are grateful to be in the position we are currently in, steadily growing and learning as we continue to build and giveback to more kids and families that need a skateboard, helmets, shoes, gear, and food.

As you can imagine, a skateboard complete is not cheap. At least not a skateable one. However, our primary focus is to get kids on a skateboard to experience some of the most heartfelt joys we've had growing up in the city of Compton. We ackowledge skateboarding isn't going to save our community, but we do know that kids who are focused on skateboarding are learning valuable skills from being consistent, having desire and purpose, to connecting with new friends and people who push them to achieve their goals. We envision a world where a kid is much more distracted and entertained with a plank of wood and a turning device than making a disturbance in their local neighbordhood.

We are pushing compton project, genuinely taking one push closer to our goals and mission of uniting the black and brown community of Compton through skateboarding. Do you support it?
